280 new dengue patients hospitalised in Khulna Division in 24 hours

A total of 280 new dengue patients were hospitalised in Khulna Division in the last 24 hours (Tuesday 8:00 am to Wednesday 8:00 am), keeping the dengue situation persistent in the region.
According to the latest report of the health department dated September 23, of the newly hospitalised patients, 237 were admitted to government hospitals and 43 to private hospitals.
No new dengue-related death was reported in the division during the period. The total number of deaths from the disease remained at 36.
Since January 1 this year, the number of dengue cases in Khulna division has reached 11,629. Of them, 10,218 patients have recovered and returned home, while 1,088 patients are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Besides, 287 patients have been referred to other healthcare facilities for better treatment.
Khulna district recorded the highest number of dengue cases in the division. So far, 4,345 cases have been reported in the district, while 2,438 dengue patients have been identified at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
