817 primary teacher recruits to get appointment letters by Oct 1

A total of 817 candidates selected for recruitment as government primary school assistant teachers have yet to receive their appointment letters, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon said on Monday .
He said the process was expected to be completed by October 1, adding that the government would review the cases of anyone who still did not receive an appointment letter by then.
The minister made the remarks at a meeting of the National Steering Committee at the Education Ministry conference room in the Secretariat on Monday.
The meeting was held to discuss programmes marking World Teachers’ Day.
