Gold and silver prices have been cut again in Bangladesh following a decline in the local prices of pure gold and silver.
The price of 22-carat gold was reduced by Tk2,158 per bhori to Tk2,30,772, according to the jewellers organisation.
The revised price took effect at 10am on Monday. The adjustment was made after the price of tejabi, or pure gold, declined in the local market.
The price of 22-carat silver was also reduced by Tk350 per bhori to Tk4,490.
The latest adjustment comes just two days after jewellers cut the price of 22-carat gold by Tk1,691 to Tk232,930 per bhori on September 26. The price of 22-carat silver was then set at around Tk4,840 per bhori.
